What experience do I get on the 3D2N Summit & Lake Trek?

This is the most complete classic Rinjani experience. It balances physical challenge with breathtaking rewards.
Highlights:
Reaching the dramatic 3,726m summit at sunrise.
Camping at the stunning Sembalun Crater Rim.
Descending into the crater to relax at Lake Segara Anak and soak in the natural hot springs.
Climbing up to the Senaru Crater Rim for a spectacular sunset view before finishing.
Best for: Trekkers with good fitness who want to see all of Rinjani’s main highlights in one trip.

What experience do I get on the 2D1N Senaru Crater Rim Trek?

A shorter, less intense trek that offers some of the most iconic views of Mount Rinjani without going to the summit.
Highlights:
Hiking through lush, shaded tropical rainforests (great for spotting wildlife like the black ebony leaf monkey).
Camping at Senaru Crater Rim, which offers the absolute best panoramic view of Lake Segara Anak, the Baru Jari volcano cone, and Bali’s Mount Agung at sunset.
Best for: Beginners, families, or those with limited time who still want unforgettable mountain views.

What experience do I get on the 4D3N Sembalun to Torean Trek?

The ultimate, relaxed Rinjani expedition. This covers the same epic terrain as the 3D2N Sembalun-Torean route but at a much more comfortable, enjoyable pace.
Highlights:
A sunrise push to the 3,726m summit.
Ample time to relax at Lake Segara Anak, camp by the water, and enjoy the healing hot springs without rushing.
A slow, breathtaking hike down the spectacular Torean valley and canyons.
Best for: Trekkers, photographers, and nature lovers who want to fully immerse themselves in the mountain, recover properly between hikes, and enjoy the camp life.

What is Mount Rinjani and where is it located?

Mount Rinjani is a majestic active volcano located on the beautiful island of Lombok, Indonesia (just east of Bali). Standing at an impressive 3,726 meters (12,224 feet) above sea level, it is the second-highest volcano in Indonesia.
Rinjani is world-famous for its breathtaking scenery, featuring a stunning turquoise crater lake called Segara Anak, an active “baby volcano” named Mount Barujari inside the caldera, and natural hot springs. Trekking to its summit offers a legendary 360-degree sunrise view stretching all the way to Bali and the Gili Islands, making it one of the ultimate adventure bucket-list experiences in Southeast Asia.

When is the best time to trek Mount Rinjani?

The best trekking season is during the dry season, from April to December.

How difficult is the Mount Rinjani trek?

It is rated as moderate to challenging. The final push to the Summit (3,726m) is the hardest part due to steep volcanic ash and loose gravel.

Do I need prior mountaineering experience?

No prior climbing experience is required, but a good level of cardiovascular fitness is highly recommended. We advise doing regular cardio, hiking, or running at least a few weeks before your trip.

What are the toilet arrangements on the mountain?

We care about your comfort and privacy. We provide a private toilet tent at every campsite for our guests, so you do not have to use public nature spots.

How cold does it get on the mountain?

Temperatures at the crater rim and summit can drop significantly at night and early morning, ranging from 5°C to 10°C (41°F – 50°F). Proper warm layers are essential

Do the guides and porters speak English?

Our guides speak English fluently and are certified professionals who know the mountain inside out. Our porters speak basic English but are incredibly friendly, helpful, and hardworking.

Is tipping expected for guides and porters?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is highly appreciated by our local team as a reward for their hard work. A standard tip usually ranges from $20 to $35 USD per client, distributed among the guide and porters

Where are the pick-up and drop-off points?

We provide free pick-up and drop-off services across Lombok, including Lombok International Airport (LOP), Bangsal Harbor, Senggigi, Mataram, and Kuta Lombok
